Our History

Holy Angels’ College, Kanjirappally run by S.A.B.S sisters is a provider of university level education in Arts and commerce streams encompassing higher secondary, undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate level. Established in the year 2012, the College has emerged as a leading centre for teaching, learning with a tradition which values both Christian ideals and academic excellence. The Foundress who belongs to Sisters of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (S. A. B. S), Sr. Mercy Valayam SABS who is influenced by the Holy Angels in her life to service the community chose the name of the college synonymous to her vision in life. The college endeavours to provide a harmonious blend of moral, intellectual and physical education leading to the all - round development of the personality of students. We aspire to produce responsible citizens endowed with service, wisdom, truth, faith in God, discipline, all virtues and ethics. With an emphasis on innovative programs, dynamic curriculum and general education skills, we are committed to being a pioneer in the field of career-focused education. We empower our students, faculty and staff to exceed the expectations of society through academic excellence, community enrichment and service to the public good.College also provides professional coaching and preparatory classes for various competitive exams, NIOS programs and distant education programs. College is located at the down town location of Kanjirappally easily commutable for the students.

Principal's Message

As the proud founder and Principal of this institution with a well-respected history of providing value based education since 1979, I warmly welcome you to Holy Angel’s College.

The management and staff of Holy Angels’ College are enlightened and lead by the Holy Verses , “Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom’’. The ultimate aim of education is not formation but transformation. Inculcating values and ideals through education transforms the young students into good citizens and perfect persons. Our pursuit of bringing a paradigm shift from teaching to learning continues to set the school as future focused.

The development of the school over the past few years has been significant. The future will build on the firm foundations which have been established for the benefit of our students. We offer a broad curriculum and a range of opportunities to create a supportive and inclusive environment to students to explore their potential and achieve their personal best in all aspects of academic life. We entice our students for their full participation in academic and co-curricular programs and a willingness to act as responsible individuals, socially connected and God fearing. We teach our students the importance of working hard, being respectful with their peers, teachers and the broader community.

We ‘train our trainers’ through professional development programs that helps the teachers of our College stay ahead and implement the latest trends in education while stay firm on the value system. We would like to further improve our quality of teaching-learning practices and our delivery.We strongly believe in the importance of teachers, parents, and management collaborating and communicating openly and frequently.

Our Patron

An educational institution run by sisters of S.A.B.S is lead by the foot prints of its founder and co-foundress of SABS. The S. A. B. S Congregation is founded in the year 1908 by The Venerable Mar. Thomas Kurialacherry (1873-1925), the first Native Bishop of Changanacherry. V.Rev.Mother Mary Chantal is the co foundress of SABS Congregation. The charism of S. A. B. S is Eucharistic devotion. Besides, the sisters serve in the fields of education, hospitals, social works, jail ministry, mission work etc. About 40% of our sisters serve in the field of education. SABS sisters run many colleges & schools far and wide Kerala, India & abroad. We receive heavenly blessing from our Patron and Patroness that strengthen us in our motto. We are grateful to our mentor V.Rev.Fr.Thomas Mattappally and Our Manger and Provincial Superior Rev. Mother Rachel Vellakkada.

Our Management & Staff

Meet our management team. Sr. Mercy Valayam SABS, ( member of Sisters of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament) an educationalist and a mentor by profession founded the College in 2012. V.Rev.Fr.Thomas Mattappally , Rev. Mother Rachel Vellakkada and Mother. Amala Kidangathazha S.A.B.S are the mentors and light in the management activities of the college along with Principal Sr. Mercy Valayam SABS. They guide our College, helping us live our purpose and achieve our vision, to create more moments of joy while serving the society through education and training. Ours is Catholic Management Institution with the teachings of Christ at the centre of activities and Catholic practices as the pillars of service. Holy Angels College, Kanjirappally was a vision inspired by the Holy Angels to the founder that becomes reality. The Holy Angel’s College professional staff serves as a cohesive voice to promote and achieve the vision and mission of the college.

Why Holyangels College

We are committed to educate the ordinary students in the society irrespective of caste colour or creed. Expert teachers handle the classes. Remedial teaching is done regularly. We give importance to the character formation, personality development, leadership training, & spiritual formation of the students. Quality education & academic excellence is our hall-mark. Well equipped class rooms, serene atmosphere, homely experience & friendly teachers provide effective learning experience to the students.

 

HOLY ANGELS’ HOSTEL

Hostel facility is provided to girls, in the campus and boys, outside the campus. Holy Angels’ hostel for girls is attached to the college. The hostel is a 'home away from home' for girls.

 

ANGELS’ HOME

Orphans, abandoned, helpless, & financially challenged girls are given shelter & education in the Angels’ home. Helping the helpless is the special mission of the college & hostel. Here the life is Angelic when the rich and poor share and care each other.
